For me, I didn’t think a 7lb weight loss would look like the picture I’m about to post. I thought it wouldn’t look as dramatic and noticeable. However, here you go! Taking heed from Glasgow Mummy who has posted a pic of herself in her pants I thought I’d do the same. After all, her pics were amazing weight loss inspiration for me so if I can do the same for anyone else it’s worth showing you what I look like in my underwear pre and post healthy lifestyle! It’s a bit risque but only like being in a bikini down the beach (this is how I am justifying it to myself anyway!).
So yes, this is a 7lb weight loss, which when I have shown friends they can’t believe and think it should be much more.
I got these results from eating well, running and starting Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred DVD. I’ve also become quite addicted to MyFitnessPal (I’m Jugsie23 on there if you are?). It’s fantastic how a food and exercise journal lays it all out for you and helps you along. I absolutely love it and it’s made this journey easy and a part of my life.
They say muscle weighs more than fat and this is definitely true. The first pic I am 11 stone 10lb and very bloated. I’d actually lost 8lb already by this pic but didn’t have a proper ‘before’ shot unfortunately. The second pic I am 11stone 3lb but my body fat percentage has been reduced by 9% between the two pics.
So, if the scale is leaving you a bit disheartened you should get the tape measure out and go off inches instead. And if you’re brave enough, take a pic in your pants and do the same thing once a month to track your progress. It’s good to reference back how far you have come.
